A by-election to the 55th Parliament of the United Kingdom for the constituency area of Belfast West.

Sinn Féin hold by Paul Maskey with a majority of 13,123 - 57.2% - on a turnout of 37.4%.

An electorate of 61,441, having a valid vote count of 22,951 and an invalid vote count of 97.
