A by-election to the 55th Parliament of the United Kingdom for the constituency area of Wythenshawe and Sale East.

Labour hold by Michael Kane with a majority of 8,960 - 37.4% - on a turnout of 28.2%.

An electorate of 85,058, having a valid vote count of 23,961 and an invalid vote count of 62.
