A by-election to the 55th Parliament of the United Kingdom for the constituency area of Inverclyde.

Labour hold by Iain McKenzie with a majority of 5,838 - 20.8% - on a turnout of 45.4%.

An electorate of 61,856, having a valid vote count of 28,097 and an invalid vote count of 66.
