An election to the 59th Parliament of the United Kingdom for the constituency area of Glenrothes and Mid Fife, held as part of the general election on 4 July 2024.
Labour gain from SNP by Richard Baker with a majority of 2,954 - 8.2% - on a turnout of 51.1%.
An electorate of 70,655, having a valid vote count of 36,139 and an invalid vote count of 124.
Candidates
The writ for this election was issued on 30 May 2024.
Under section 13(b) of the Representation of the People Act 1985, a candidate gaining 5% or less of the vote share will forfeit their deposit.
This constituency of Glenrothes and Mid Fife was established by the 2024 boundary set for Scotland. This election was the first held under that boundary set.
